|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-05-00001FANNY MAY (female)|
Little Miss Fanny May is a shy but very endearing little country girl who was found running along a rural road in the middle of no man's land with no ID or micro chip. The shelter who found her attempted to locate her owner, but no one stepped forward, so she was welcomed into the loving arms of her NBGR foster family who have become quite smitten with this dainty beauty! Fanny May is in the prime of her life at only 6 years old and a very petite 11 lbs. She loves to run and play in her backyard, sitting on the back of the family couch, and gets along well with her foster siblings. She exhibits some fear response when picked up, which makes us believe she had an unfortunate experience at some point during her short life. However, she is her foster mom's constant shadow, and very willing jumps on her foster mom and dad's lap for hugs, kisses, and cuddles....and of course joining her family in the big bed at night. Our exquisite little Fanny May is looking for a quite adult only home with other small dogs who have a laid back personality. In return she is guaranteed to shower her new forever family with years of love, affection, and devotion! Fanny May is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, had a recent dental, is heart worm negative, on monthly heart worm preventative, and micro chipped. We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever. Please keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to drive or fly in to get the dog. If flying, that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger, and we never allow our dogs to fly via the cargo hold. (Less)
